Featuring members of Don Caballero and Helmet, Battles create a sound that combines avant-rock, jazz and electronica, reminiscent of the abandonment of their New York no-wave predecessors. Utilising prog-style time changes, 'Mirrored' is almost painfully clever, mixing complex electronic sounds in with their more traditional instrumentation.
